Toon Tanks

Game Description

This game was developed as a part of learning Unreal Engine 5 with Udemy course from GameDev.tv

Toon Tanks is about roaming simple levels and destroying enemies in form of Towers and enemy Tanks.

Controls

W,S,A,D - Tank movement
F - Switch Ammo type
LMB - Fire Projectile

Installation Guide

1. Download File
2. Unzip
3. Open ToonTanks.exe
4. Leave game with Alt+F4 

Implementation Details

Implemented with course:

• Tank Movemet
• Turret aiming to Player and shooting
•  Tank shooting on pressing LMB

Implemented on top of the course:

• Level transition
•  Enemy tank
• Set paths with waypoints for Enemy tank to follow
  • Can start from First, Last waypoint
  • Can move in a Loop or Back and forth
•  Simple UI to show how much enemies to destroy
• Enhancing UI with Health bars and Player HUD
• Limit player shooting, swithing ammo

Plans for further development:

• Expending UI with Healt bars
• Limit Player shooting, implement reloading
  
• Implementing PowerUps
  
• More levels

• Adding diverse enemies
• Possibility to End game, Restart level from Player inbound menu
